Reprogramming Your Mind From Negative to Positive

We are often too critical of ourselves. We obsess over mistakes and failures, thinking about them constantly. This is Poverty Thinking and it is an obstacle to success. It’s critical to success that we adopt Rich Thinking. Rich Thinking people have gotten in the habit of focusing on their successes in life. Instead of beating themselves up over mistakes and failures, they move on from those mistakes and failures, once they have learned the lessons taught by those mistakes and failures. How? There are two Rich Thinking strategies that they use: the Victory Log and the Reward Strategy.

The Victory Log  is a listing of all of your successes in life. Its purpose is put a stop to the negative self-criticism we all seem to engage in. It’s a tool to stop your conscious mind from beating you up and shifts your thinking from negative back to positive. Positive thinking attracts good things into your life by reprogramming your subconscious away from negative thinking. Negative thinking attracts bad things into your life. The Victory Log helps shift your thinking from negative to positive by forcing you to focus on all of the successes in your life. It programs your subconscious to be success-focused and not failure-focused. It’s a psychological pat on the back and it works. Every time you screw up, pull out your Victory Log and begin reading. It will stop you from beating yourself up the rest of the day and prevent you from going negative. Mistakes and failures are nothing more than lessons to be learned. They are not a reflection of your incompetence, lack of education, or some character flaw. They are just things to learn from. The Victory Log help put mistakes and failures in their proper context and keeps you on the path of Success Thinking.

The Reward Strategy is another way to shift your thinking from negative to positive. Here’s how it works: every time you experience a success in life, no matter how small, reward yourself. This reward can be anything that you like. New clothes, candy, going out to dinner, the movies, buying yourself a gift, a milkshake etc. By rewarding yourself you are reprogramming your subconscious for success. Your subconscious receives the message that success is good and rewarded. This programming becomes part of the software code of the subconscious mind. Your subconscious will begin seeking more success in life in order to receive the reward. Behind the scenes, your subconscious works to direct you toward success because it wants to be rewarded. It becomes a success guided missile, moving you toward success through the use of hunches and intuition. When your subconscious is programmed for success, by engaging daily in Rich Thinking, hunches and intuition become beneficial and help guide you to do things that will create success in life.
