I thought I’d share with you a discovery I made about a little-known University whose students go on to achieve enormous success in life.

The majority of its students wind up becoming wealthy entrepreneurs, successful small business owners, Senior Executives of multi-national corporations or the top Virtuosos in their field.

This University costs significantly less than Wharton, Yale, Princeton, Harvard and other well-known schools and its graduates are far more successful and wealthy.

It’s a wonder to me why everyone who desires to be successful and rich, doesn’t attend this University. Sadly, its enrollment is woefully small.

The name of the school is Better University, or Better U for short. I picked up a copy of their syllabus so I could share it with you:

BETTER U SYLLABUS

  • Each student is required to devote 30 – 60 minutes a day to reading the following books: Think and Grow Rich, How to Win Friends and Influence People, The Magic of Believing, Millionaire Next Door, The Psychology of Achievement, The Power of Your Subconscious Mind, Psycho Cybernetics, The Power of Positive Thinking, The Millionaire Mind, Rich Dad Poor Dad, The Greatest Salesman in the World, The Richest Man in Babylon, Success Principles, The Compound Effect, The Entrepreneur Rollercoaster, The Power of Focus, Beyond Willpower, Lead Without a Title, Million Dollar Habits, The Power of Habit, Atomic Habits, Release Your Brakes, The Magic of Thinking, 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth, Wisdom of the Robber Barons, Finding Your Element, Outliers, The Wealthy Barber, How to Make Luck, Make Your Contacts Count, The Brain That Changes Itself, Super Brain, Brain Rules, Rich Habits, Rich Kids, Change Your Habits Change Your Life and Rich Habits Poor Habits.
  • Biographies of successful people each student must read: Elon Musk, Richard Branson, The Wright Brothers, Andrew Carnegie, Winston Churchill, Henry Ford, Sam Walton, Marriott, Be My Guest, Steve Jobs, Calvin Coolidge, Abraham Lincoln, Warren Buffet, J.K. Rowling, Thomas Edison, Oprah Winfrey, Nicola Tesla, The Magic Kingdom, Titan, Napoleon Hill, Martha Stewart and George Washington. Students are also free to read any and all biographies of other historically successful individuals.
  • Magazines students must read: SUCCESS Magazine, Entrepreneur Magazine, Discovery Magazine, Psychology Today, Scientific American and Self-Magazine.

Required Activities

  • Mandatory Volunteering/Networking: Students must devote a minimum of ten hours per month at one or more local, community-based, non-profit business groups or charitable organizations.
  • Mandatory Exercise: Students are required to exercise a minimum of thirty minutes each day. You get to pick the exercise, but it must incorporate aerobic and some moderate weight training, high intensity impact training or core exercises.
  • Sleep: All students are required to sleep eight hours every day.
  • Dream-Setting and Goal-Setting: Students are required to create a 1,000 word script of their ideal future life, twenty years into the future and use that script to identify the dreams they need to pursue in order to become who they want to be in the future. Students are then required to build specific goals around each dream and pursue those goals every day. Students are not permitted to ever quit on their dreams or goals. Students who do quit, cease their education.
  • Experimentation: Students are required to engage in one new activity for three months, each year they are enrolled in school. Once they find a unique skill they enjoy, and that comes very easy to them, they are then encouraged to devote the rest of their school years to developing that skill, until they become expert Virtuosos in that skill.
  • Habit Workshop: All students are required to attend a special habit workshop each semester. The purpose of this workshop is to help students forge good daily habits and eliminate bad daily habits.
  • Podcasting: Students are required to listen to a least one podcast each week on the following topics: building wealth, achieving success, living healthy, entrepreneurship, or any other topics that help them grow and improve themselves in some way.
  • TEDx: Every student is required to listen to one TEDx talk per week, on a topic of their choosing.

That’s it. That’s the entire syllabus. The great thing about Better U is it costs very little money, everyone is accepted and you can attend Better U for your entire life.
