There is a new weight-loss trend that may be the most successful strategy to losing weight and staying lean.

It’s called the One Mile a Day strategy.

Under this weight-loss strategy you commit to walking or jogging just one mile a day, every day, for the rest of your life.

Everyone I know who follows this weight-loss strategy is thin. No exceptions.

Why does it work?

The body is inherently lazy. It does not want to exert itself. That’s our default programming. It’s hardwired into each and every human being, at birth.

But committing to just one mile a day is not perceived by the brain as rigorous enough to warrant putting up a fight.

The magic happens the moment you start your one mile walk or run. After about ten minutes of walking or running, you will find yourself exceeding the one mile goal, almost every time.

On those days you really, really don’t feel like exercising, you just tell yourself “I’ll only do one mile today.”

And, you’ll find yourself doing more, once you get started.
