There are obvious reasons why successful people are so focused on creating good habits and avoiding bad habits – good habits automate success and bad habits automate failure.
That’s the obvious main reason self-made millionaires obsess over their habits.
But, there is another little-known, albeit very powerful reason for this millionaire obsession with habits – Luck.
Self-made millionaires believe good habits boost their odds of becoming lucky. They also believe bad habits boost your odds of becoming unlucky.
The recognition that good habits eventually create good luck and bad habits create bad luck is just obvious to self-made millionaires.
In fact, 90% of the self-made millionaires in my Rich Habits Study said that bad habits create Detrimental Luck (Bad Luck) and 97% of self-made millionaires said good habits create Opportunity Luck (Good Luck).

I completely agree. For over 30 years, I have made it MY habit, to consider each move. Is it honest? Does it have a good purpose? What is the up side, and what is the down side? Then, as a smooth finish, what is the RIGHT move, that I can sleep with? Every time I have made the right decision, or choice, it has come back to me in spades. And the wrong or ‘other’ move(s) I made, early on, sat on my shoulder, and annoyed me, until I corrected them. At 70 years old, I don’t want to be annoyed. And, of course, WWRD. What would Robert do?
I have been so blessed, in so many ways. I lead a simple, working life. No debt, good health, good income (some passive and some from still working to stay active), good assets, good savings, cash on hand, etc. Robert has been right all along. And God has watched over me EVERY time I needed it.
I ask myself a similar question, when faced with an important decision: What would JC Jobs do?
