In a study published in the British Journal of Psychology, evolutionary psychologists Satoshi Kanazawa of the London School of Economics and Norman Li of Singapore Management University found that individuals who were focused on dreams or goals had higher IQs and were happier than those not pursuing a dream or any long-term goals.
Brookings Institute researcher Carol Graham concluded from this novel research that the pursuit of dreams and goals is directly correlated to intelligence and happiness.
Pursuing dreams or goals forces you to a higher level. Their very pursuit requires that you grow in knowledge and/or skills. Daily learning and daily practice was a common Growth Habit among the self-made millionaires in my Rich Habits Study.
Growth Habits transform you into a different person – the person you need to become in order to be successful.
That is why it is critical to forge Growth Habits.
If you are unsatisfied with your life, it is because you are not changing. You are not growing. You are stuck and therefore, not moving forward in life.
When the brain is engaged in Growth Habits every day, it increases the number of synapses within the brain, meaning, your brain mass increases. Growth Habits, therefore, improve your cognitive abilities and make you smarter.
The sense of fulfillment you get when you are constantly improving yourself, is the brain’s way of rewarding you for doing what it wants you to do – become better.
Extraordinary article…have not read this anywhere else.
Tks Sam
