What is Compassion?

Is it Caring about others?

Is it Concern for others?

Is it Empathy for others?

Is it pointing out some Injustice being done to others?

While many would agree that people with the above traits are Compassionate, the reality is very different.

Caring, Concern and Empathy for others, are feelings, not Compassion. Feeling Compassionate does not make you Compassionate.

Pointing out some injustice being done to others, is guilt throwing, not Compassion.

You are truly Compassionate only when you take action to Directly help improve the lives of others, without any hidden agenda or motive, other than to help. This action may take the form of time, money, or both.

Compassion = Directly doing good for others, without seeking any remuneration or payback.

All the feelings and all the talk/protesting in the world, does not make you Compassionate.

Taking Action to help a fellow human being in need, however, does make you Compassionate.
