Most people are unsuccessful. They do not read or self-educate themselves. They prefer to spend time on social media, binging on streaming movies, watching sporting activities, engaging in drinking and/or entertainment activities or simply zombie TV watching.

Because most lack self-control, success is out of their reach.

Self-control is without question one of the top two traits of every successful person I’ve interviewed in my Rich Habits Study – Persistence was the #1 trait.

Self-control is like a muscle. When exercised it gets stronger.

Daily self-improvement reading strengthens that muscle. Daily exercise also boosts self-control. Daily meditation improves self-control. Pursuing a dream and the goals around a dream forces you to become a master in self-control.

Most people refuse to engage in activities that increase self-control. As a result, they are not a competitive threat to the few who have devoted themselves to increasing their self-control.

Big companies know this. For these companies, it’s like shooting ducks in a bathtub. They understand most people lack self-control. And they exploit it, reaping billions of dollars in the process.

You can point the finger of blame at these companies, as many “victims” do, or you could point the finger where it belongs – at those who lack self-control.

Don’t be just another duck in the bathtub.

Engage in daily activities that strengthens your self-control and helps you to grow, improve and become a better individual.
