More than 50% of the self-made Entrepreneur Millionaires in my Rich Habits Study abandoned corporate America to launch successful businesses.
Why so many?
A few years ago I developed a Personality Profile for each of the Four Paths To Wealth: #1 Saver-Investor, #2 Big Company Climber, #3 Virtuoso and #4 Dreamer-Entrepreneur.
Each path to wealth required a specific personality, for those who succeeded in that path.
The interesting thing is that the personality profile of Big Company Climber and Dreamer-Entrepreneurs were very similar.
While there were many similar personality traits between the two paths, there were also a number of minor differences. The one big difference between the two paths, a difference that 100% of the Entrepreneurs who left Corporate American all shared, was that the Dreamer-Entrepreneurs were simply unable to tolerate the “Office Politics” of the Big Company Climber Path. The Entrepreneurs who abandoned Corporate America loathed the politics that Big Company Climbers must endure, in their climb up the company ladder.
